On Sundays, the start times are 12:30, 3:00, or 5:30.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
All PedalPub® tours are two hours long . On Friday and Saturday, the cost is $390. Sunday through Thursday the rate is discounted to $330. The renter pays the full cost of the tour at the time of reservation, regardless of how far in advance the reservation is made.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES IT HOLD?
You can have up to 16 people maximum in your group. Sorry, but no exceptions to that number. You can’t have 17.
There are 10 pedaling seats, plus two seats over the axles that are non-pedaling. The bench seats three, plus one standing spot in the middle for your ‘bartender’. We recommend a minimum of eight people to rent the PedalPub®.
If you don’t have 8-16 people in your group, please check out our Mixer Tours!
IS MY DATE AVAILABLE?
You can check availability through clicking on the individual routes on this page or CLICK HERE to go to our BOOK A TOUR page.
Select the route you want, then click the BOOK button and find the date you’re looking for.
PLEASE NOTE : Your Credit Card will not be charged until you click CHECK OUT, so check as many dates as you want!
IS THE BEER INCLUDED?
Beer is NOT included. PedalPub Twin Cities does NOT provide any alcohol.
You can bring beer in cans, plastic, or pony keg form. You can also bring hard lemonade, hard cider, and boxed wine. No glass containers can come aboard, so choose carefully. And remember, there are no Sunday liquor sales in Minnesota, so you’ll have to plan ahead!
We recommend no more than three cans per person; otherwise you’ll be carrying a bunch home with you. Keg max is eight gallons. Homebrew ‘Corny’ kegs with pin-lock or ball-lock connections are okay, but you’ll need to bring your own carbonation source.
No hard liquor in any form is allowed, including pre-mixed bottles, cans, pouches, or jello shots.
We have coolers available for you, but you should bring ice if you want it.
WHAT IF IT RAINS? STORMS? TOO HOT? TOO COLD?
We go out in all weather, so plan your outfit accordingly! If there is a severe weather warning, the pilot will determine if it’s safe to continue.
If the pilot cancels your tour, you will be issued a rain check.
CAN I RENT MORE THAN ONE PEDALPUB®?
Yes, reservations for multiple bikes can be made on our website, just make a new reservation for each one. Multiple bikes are available for the Nordeast (3), Downtown Minneapolis area (5) routes only.
Plan carefully though, and make sure you have enough people for each bike. Please refer to our cancellation policy.
CAN I MAKE MY OWN ROUTE?
Yes, with some limitations. The PedalPub® can only go up very small hills, so we need to approve your route first. There is a custom start fee of $100 plus $3/per mile round trip from our garage to your starting location and back, along with a minimum rental fee. Call for details or help in planning.
WHO CAN RIDE?
Pretty much any adult-type person!
All riders must be at least 18 years old, and if there is alcohol on board, everyone riding has to be at least 21.
The bike seats can hold up to 300 lbs. The bench and bartender positions have no restrictions.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
• More than 30 days out – you can reschedule, or get a 50% refund.
• 14 – 30 days out – you can reschedule only, no refunds apply.
• Less than 14 days out – no refunds or rescheduling will be allowed.
WHAT ARE THE RULES?
City licensing requirements hold us to a standard. The pilot will go over the rules and behavior expectations at the beginning of your tour. Most of these are outlined on the waiver. If you act in a dangerous or unruly manner, you may be asked to leave, and could be charged the behavior violation fee.
We want to be good neighbors as well as help you to have a great time!
WHAT ARE SOME TIPS FOR A SUPER FUN RIDE?
Pub Crawl Etiquette:
Bring CASH – preferably lots of ones!
Call the club when you’re about 10 minutes out to let them know you’re coming. Your pilot will have the number.
Be patient! They’re trying to serve all of you at once, PLUS their regular customers. Order all the same kind of shot or pitchers of beers to help things go smoothly.
If you want a bunch of different stuff, have ONE person place the order.
Have ONE person pay for the entire order, and with CASH if possible. It takes a long time to run 16 different cards.
TIP THE WAIT-STAFF! 15 – 20% is customary. Leave a couple of bucks if you’re just using the bathroom.
Dress for the weather! Sometimes it rains, or even snows! Layers are your friend. In summer, leave the flip-flops in your car and wear something that straps to your foot.
Bring water. Snacks are fine too!
Follow the pilot’s directions. They are for your safety and public relations.
WHAT'S THE WAIVER ALL ABOUT?
Just like riding any bike, riding the PedalPub® can be potentially dangerous. We offer bike helmets for your safety. You don’t have to wear one – that’s up to you. You take responsibility if you bump your noggin’ or behave badly. Here is a copy for your review:
CAN I GET A TOUR DONATED FOR MY CHARITY?
PedalPub® donates a limited number of half off tours which must be booked for April or October. Submit requests between November 1 and March 31 to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Tips are always appreciated. If you had a great time, tipping your Pilot the standard service industry amount of 20% is customary.
For tours involving two or more PedalPubs, an automatic gratuity of 15% will be added
